Dreaming

I dream about a beautiful place - a house in the woods with large veranda. I see sunlight sparkling through the green leaves when I think of it. I see many, many beautiful kids who are smiling. They are peaceful and content. They enjoy their time outside. I see their calm and reliefed parents. I see animals. I see hammock in wich few kids are giggling, talking, being silly. Being just kids!
I see a big swing where our whole family can fit.
I see a garden where our special kids work. I can almost hear them reading books aloud to each other.
I see it with my heart. Please, let me see it with my eyes, Lord!

Thoughts of parenting and a bible verse

This week, one of the mornings I remembered a verse from Bible saying that "He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it" (Mt.10:39).

I think that having children teaches us this truth more effectively than anything else! Why would God create them so helpless, so defendant on us, needing our care almost 24 hours a day? I personally don't think children are born knowing how to manipulate - their brain part wich is responsible for ability to manipulate is simply not developed yet!

So, yes, we are born sinful, but kids need our care not because of that, but 'cause they're created this way. God knows indeed, how to teach us lose our life (well, what we though real life is before having kids). Have some kids! You'll get it =)
